PERSONAL:
Lara Neidel, ABWA District III Vice President
PERSONAL HIGHLIGHTS
My husband, Mike, and I have been married for over 30 years. We have one married daughter, Lorissa Marie, and one son, Corey Michael. Education and using natural talents have always been stressed in our home. We are very proud of both our children, as Lorissa received a Masters Degree in Library Science and Corey Michael graduated from Rockhurst University via a soccer scholarship. We are also quite proud of our son-in-law, David, who has a Masters Degree in Library Science.
CAREER
I am the only woman in management for a global company where I direct and support both sales and customer support.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
At an early age, my goal was to graduate from college with a degree in education. I achieved that goal by earning a degree in history and education. I was able to obtain loans and grants but not enough to cover tuition; as a full time student I worked 40 hours a week.
Although I have used my teaching skills in a classroom environment, they have helped me lead and teach classes for my company’s distributors throughout the United States. My educational background has helped me to teach classes in my church and to instill in my children the need to learn.

Favorite Quotes
A true leader has the confidence to stand alone, the courage to make tough decisions, and the compassion to listen to the needs of others. He does not set out to be a leader, but becomes one by the quality of his actions and the integrity of his intent. In the end, leaders are much like eagles-they don’t flock, you find them one at a time.
